The chemical substance Na2O.SiO2 is sodium meta-silicate. The powder outline is pure. It is formed in autoclaves under extreme pressure through a reaction of caustic lye and fine crystalline silica. The further alkaline silicates with a specific shape and characteristic property are crystalline compounds, like sodium meta-silicate (Na2O.SIO2). Under cold water, sodium meta-silicate is soluble.

GMCI contains various grades of sodium metasilicate suitable for a wide range of industries. In the detergent industry, it can be used instead of sodium triphosphate to improve cleaning efficiency and minimize environmental contamination, have an excellent alkaline buffer, prevent metal corrosion. and reduce water softening effect.

9H2O Sodium Metasilicate Nonahydrate

They are primarily used for the washing of paint, detergents, textiles, ceramics, metalworking and specialty chemical goods.
