MICA is an exceptionally lamellar aluminium and potassium phyllosilicate. Mica particles can also be conveniently broken into thin pieces, mostly translucent. Throughout the spectrum of naturally accessible particle sizes from a micron to a few centimetres, micas are rare amongst flat minerals. Mica is also named “glimmer,” which defines the optical appearance it provides.

MICA FLAKES were typically used as an additive mound chemical to avoid lack of circulation and absorption during water-based and oil-based oil-well drilling operations. In order to repair the missing diffusion areas, Mica is explicitly applied. By utilizing mica, porous types are screened, and diffusion retention helps hold the solids under suspension.
